Wind Power, How Can That Help Me Save Money?

There is a lot of things being said in the news about the importance of going green, and being environmentally responsible.  It does make sense to take good care of our home, but with so much information, where do you start? Well, one place to start is with wind power.  It's free, abundant, and easy to use.

It really doesn't matter if you want to 'go big' and build your own home wind turbine, or go a little smaller and use the wind to save a little money.  Either way you can harness the power of the wind and put it to work for you.

Using the wind on a small scale can mean putting up a clothes line and letting the wind dry your clothes, or opening up your windows and let the wind help cool and freshen your house.  These are about the simplest things you can do to harness the power of the wind.

If you're looking for something with a little more 'punch' you can use a wind turbine to generate electricity for your home.  You could build your own for a few hundred dollars or you can buy one for a few thousand dollars.

A wind turbine designed for home use is quite small and many can be mounted right on your roof. There are even different designs so if you're not a fan of a huge wind mill looking thing in the backyard, you do have options.

On average a home turbine will save you about 80% on your electric bill.  That is significant especially if you remember that you will see that type of saving for as long as you keep the turbine.

So if you want to put wind power to work for you, now is a great time.  You'll save yourself some money and help the environment at the same time.
