Home Wind Power – Cut Your Power Bill

You know one of the simplest ways for you and me to cut our electric bill dramatically is to use the simplest of  “Mother Nature’s” renewable resources. Yep, you got it! I’m talking about wind.  And guess what, not only is it renewable but it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to take advantage of it.

Some folks believe that the technical expertise and knowledge has been around for a very short period of time of say about 50 years or so. Actually that’s not true. Using wind power to make energy of course has been around for thousands of years. Wind was used to push ships across the seas of our planets, to help dry our clothes and of course to keep us cool. Think about it didn’t cost a dime.

Now thanks to modern technical advances that have been made over the last 100 years or so, wind is being brought to the forefront as a way reduce the cost electricity. What makes this so cool is you, as a home owner can now take advantage of the wind, to lower your personal electrical bill.

You heard what I said. Depending on where you live wind power can be harnessed by you as a private individual. Then you can use it to send power to every single electrical appliance in your household. However, you have to have a way to harness the wind.

Well that’s not quite as complicated as you might think. I’m sure you have seen the reports on TV or read on the internet, articles about alternate power sources. Some of these reports have been about the Wind Turbine or even huge Wind Farms that harvest the wind to create electricity and sell it to the power companies to hold down the cost of electricity.

Believe it are not you can actually get a wind power turbine kit for your own home, very similar to what the giant wind farms or using. However, your wind turbine will be much smaller, but it works the same way. The wind will turn the turbine, which in turn will turn a shaft to a small generator and send the electrical power to your power box. Wahla! Cheap electrical power and fully renewable.
