Articles maximize your website exposure, generate valuable back links for better search engines positioning and result in traffic generation to you website.

Many internet marketers grasped the concept of traffic generation with articles but the problem is article writing is not an easy task for many people. Although there are people who are able to complete an article for about 500 words in less then 10 minutes but many need hours to write once. And many find that article writing is so scaring and give up this powerful technique to drive free and targeted traffic to other website.

In actual fact, article writing is not that difficult and your can complete an article easily if you know the golden formula of article writing. Below are some guidelines that can help you to generate your article easily:

1. Have knowledge about the topic
The first thing you are going to need to write a good article is some knowledge on the topic. Remember you don't have to be an expert on the subject; all you are looking for is enough information so that you can whip up an article on it. You can get more related information on the topic you going to write from any search engines; just type in the keyword of your desired article, open at least 3 sites from the front page that look to be the most informative and read them to get more information for your desire article.

2. Outline The 3-5 Points of The Topic
Let say you would like to write an article about fat loss, what you are looking for here is 3-5 points about fat loss, no in depth information, just 3 or 5 points, or aspects of fat loss. For example, you might find something about fat loss program, fat loss with special exercise program or how to control the diet for fat loss & etc, note down these 4 aspects in a text file. From the page that you saw these points, read the relevant information in as much depth as you need so you get some ideas for your content.

3. Give A Good Title For Your Article
The title is the headline of your article and as such has the job of piquing your reader's interest and imploring them to want to know more. Hence, don't overlook the powerful of article. Whether your potential readers want to choose your articles other other's articles are depend on your article title; thus your article title should be "eye catching" enough to draw the attention of your potential readers.

A great article title should contain phases that draw the interest of your potential readers, such phases include:

  • Words that generate curiosity like "What you need to know", "...secret revealed"
  • Promise a benefit like "how to", "Discover", "Learn to" & etc
  • Pose a question which may include "How can", "What if", "Why does", "When is" & etc.
4. Article Summary/Teaser Copy
Most of article directories and websites will display the article summary below the article title. It will act as the door opening key for read to enter into your article. Summary should not be too long, 2-5 sentences based on your key points to lead your readers to read your full article. This summary may include in the end of your article for closing purpose.

5. Article Content Make Easy With The 3-5 Points Noted Down Earlier
A 500 words article may contain 3 to 5 paragraphs and if you have 4 points noted down during your information search; then you can divide each point to 1 paragraph. Start the first paragraph with a brief introduction on your topic or information that you are going to delivery to your readers; then, go into detail on each point and limit each point to a paragraph.

You will find that with the main points drafted down before start writing your article, you will finish writing the article fast and easy because the perfectly structured nature you will know exactly what you have to write in each sentence of each paragraph from start to finish.

In Summary
After all, article writing is not that scary. You do not need to be an expert on the subject; all you are looking for is enough information so that you can whip up an article on it. The golden formula of writing is not other than "Know what you want to write", "Get the related information in points form", "Add an introduction", "Connect all these points together" and finally close it with a "Summary" You are done with an article.

Perfect marketing by article marketing is easy with these 5 tips

Writing an article doesn’t just mean putting down thoughts into words then typing and writing it. You have to capture the interest of your readers and get them to keep on reading. To send your message across you have to get the attention of the reader and have a firm grasp of their interest and pique their curiosity.

The main ingredient in baking up an article is a large dose of creativity. While creativity may come natural to many people, some just gets into a block or something to that effect that can drive someone crazy. Many writers have literally torn their hair out when they get writers block and just can’t seem to get their creative juices flowing.

Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art. A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors help a lot, but the way an article gets entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole article develops the essence of the article.

So just what do you have to do when nothing comes to mind? There is no surefire ways to get the perfect ideas but there are easy ways to get your creative juices flowing. No one can guarantee you of having the perfect mindset but many methods may aid you in achieving that state of mind. Here are five easy ways for that.

1) Keep a diary or a journal with you always. Ideas can be triggered by anything you may hear, see, or smell. Your senses are your radar in finding great ideas. Write all of them into a journal and keep it with you for future reference. You may also write down anything that you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas and this is not stealing. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.

2) Relax and take time to sort things out. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. Everyone must have a clear mind if one wishes to have their creativity in full speed. Get rid of all obstacles that can be a hindrance to your creativity. If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused.

Try to relax every time that you can and think about your experiences and interactions with others. Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected on your writings. Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions. Discover what inspires you and what ticks you off. You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas, with this you can grow creatively.

3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. Your working place can be quite a hindrance if it doesn’t make you feel happy or relaxed. Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messed up workplace that causes distraction won’t be conducive in firing up your creative flow.

Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, or scents, objects that inspire, or anything that can get your creativeness cranking. A clean and well organized workplace also rids of distractions and unwanted hindrances. With a good working place, you can work in peace and never notice the time pass by.

4) Set the mood. Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment or to induce your self to feeling what makes your mind works best. Finding out what makes you tick could help you find ways to get your creative juices flowing. Set the pace and tempo for your mood and everything else will follow.

There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers have been known to use alcohol, a little sip of wine to stir up the imagination. Some would like some mood music while others let the lighting of the environment create the mood.

5) Go on a getaway and just do something unlike crazy. Letting yourself go and have fun produces adrenaline that can make your imagination go wild. Take an adventure or a solemn hike. Whatever it is that is unusual from your daily routine can take the rut out of your schedule. In no time at all, your creativeness will make use of that experience and get your imagination to go on overdrive.

Article Submission Trumps Ezine Ads and Google AdWords

You may have heard advice from Internet marketing gurus that ezine ads are one of the best forms of advertising.  You may also have heard that Google AdWords and other pay per click search engines are one of the best advertising methods.  But when it comes to marketing your web site, article submission trumps ezine ads and Google AdWords anytime.

The advantage of article submission is trust.  Suppose you subscribe to an ezine in the form of an email newsletter.  You've just sat down at your PC, coffee in hand, to read your email.  There in your inbox is a copy of one of your favorite ezines, the one you read every time.

Clicking on the newsletter, you see that this edition starts with a sponsor ad and then has a couple of great sounding articles and a couple more ezine ads.  Sipping your coffee, one of the articles catches your attention.  You read the article, and you were right.  It's a great article.

At the bottom of the article, there is a link to the author's web site and a short biography.  You notice the author has a link to pick up a free report with more information about the article's topic.  Then you notice that right below that there's a sponsor's link in an ezine ad.  The sponsor's link is for a different web site, but it also offers a free report about the same topic.

Now you might click both links.  But if you could only click one, which would you choose: the one by the author of the great article you just read or the one in the ezine ad?

If you would click on the one from the author of the article you just read, you're not alone.  Most people would, wouldn't they?

Now suppose you're surfing around on the web.  You do a Google search on a topic you're interested in, and you follow a link to a great article with some excellent advice on the topic.  Again, there is a link to the author's web site and a link to a free report with more information on the topic.  Right beside it are five Google AdWords ads on the same topic.  As luck would have it, they are also each offering a free report on the same topic.

You would still be most likely to click on the author's link at the bottom of the article, though, wouldn't you?

Article submission trumps ezine ads and Google AdWords because you establish a relationship and build trust with your reader.  You are obviously the expert.  After all, you wrote the article.  And the webmaster or ezine publisher wouldn't have published the article if they didn't think you knew what you were talking about, right?

Years ago, I used to do direct sales in people's homes.  I learned that one of the first things you need to do is the "warm up."  You've just entered someone's home, they don't know who you are as a person, and they know you're going to be trying to get money from them before you leave.

If you don't establish rapport quickly, it's difficult to overcome people's natural sales resistance.  In direct sales in the home, you do that by talking a little with people before you begin your sales presentation.  They get to know you as a person, and their resistance is lowered.

Most people can't do sales because they remain the "enemy," the horrible sales person who wants to sell them something.  Let's face it, people hate sales people!

But imagine if you could warm up to people easily - and not just one or two people, but thousands of people.  Imagine if instead of selling them something, you could educate them about something that will solve a problem and be of great benefit to them.  That's entirely different, isn't it?

Article submission allows you to do exactly this, and on a massive scale.  If you submit many articles to article submission sites and article directories, many will be published on web sites and in ezines around the Internet.  People will read your articles and warm up to you.  Solve their problems and they'll want more.

It's hard to accomplish that with Google AdWords.  You only have three lines and a few words to build interest and trust and to get the click.  It's also hard to achieve that with ezine ads.  Even with solo ezine ads, everyone knows they are advertisements.

Article submission is the secret.  Writing and submitting articles is relatively easy.  Just write very helpful articles on your topic and link to your web site.  Through article submission you will build your reputation.  Through article submission you will gain trust.  And through article submission you will get visitors to your web site that already like you, value your advice, and want to know more about what you can do to help them.

That's already an incredible benefit, but it gets even better.  Article submission is usually free, or low cost if you use an article submission service.  Ezine ads and Google AdWords can be very expensive, and it is unlikely you could ever get traffic coming to your site as open to listening to you and trusting you as they will be from an article submission.

This is why article submission trumps ezine ads and Google AdWords.

Article Submission Software - Should We Submit Articles With Software?

Article submission software ? people always ask if they are really useful in article marketing. To paraphrase that, what online marketers really want to know is whether there truly are merits in using them to submit articles. The truth is there are two schools of thinking about using article submission software. As usual, there are those who do not believe it works while another group can vouch to its effectiveness. Why don?t we have a quick look at the workings of the article submission software before we decide if we should submit articles with them?

Article submission software in recent years have been emerging as a tool to replace manual submission. When I first started online marketing, I wrote articles and submit manually to these article directories like GoArticles, HotLib and a few other popular article directories. It often takes me more than a few hours to submit to more than a dozen article directories. There was the log in, followed by sieving through the article submission form, copying and pasting my article title, article body, article summary, relevant keywords and author resource boxes. Every article directory has a different interface, and very often I have to customize and twitch a little bit here and there. Trust me and those who have experienced all these, it is tough job and sweat. Okay, so here I have an article ready to be published after one day?s hard work including the writing. This is manual article submission done all without article submission software.

That was a typical scenario most early day article marketers and authors have to face just a couple of years back. Today, the landscape has changed with the emergence of article submission software. The great thing about the functions of article submission software is it makes the log in and article formatting for each individual article directory so fast and so easy. Some article submission software are semi-automatic which requires you to click from one article directory to another to post. Others which are more advanced requires just the click of a button and off it goes to different article directories to post. In terms of speed and efficiency, such article submission software definitely makes the submission a breeze. As a result, we have more time to write quality articles.

If we can stick to writing an article and posting it to 100 article directories a day manually without article submissions software, we can really gain a great deal of exposure for our websites be it a business or hobby site. With so many submissions, we are putting our content before hundreds to thousands of eyeballs everyday. But the problem is we only have 24 hours and taking away time for sleep, meals and breaks, there are only a few hours to do that. We are limited in our time. With article submission software, it allows people to write more and post more each day. Instead of one article to 100 directories manually, we are talking about potentially, several articles to few 100s of article directories.

There is another twist to using article submission software. Search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN are constantly ranking websites or for accuracy purpose, web pages according to link popularity. Article directories are high Page Rank sites and links from these directories count as powerful one-way links. So how do we get these article directories to link to our websites? The answer is to submit articles! Articles are contextual content relevant to our websites and links from these articles to our websites are valuable because of the anchor text keywords we are targeting to rank high in the search engines. Article submission software can submit to many article directories and in just a few days, the number of high PR links to your site would increase.

There are alternatives to using article submission software such as using article submission services like Article Marketer, iSnare and others to submit articles. But they charge you either monthly or for per article submitted. Unless you have a huge advertising budget or enough money to pour into these services, buying an article submission software would be a wiser choice since the payment is one-time. Typically, quality article submission software would cost around $99 onwards.

From the look of it, it does make sense to submit articles with article submission software. Many article marketers including myself have reaped in thousands of dollars from sales by using such software. Read a review of several popular article submission software marketers have in their marketing arsenal.

Article Automation Rears An Ugly Head

Content is king. You have probably heard that a million times but it's true. That is why writing articles is one of the most utilized Internet marketing media today. It’s also one of the most abused marketing methods.

The online advertising craze began picking up with the introduction of FFA (Free For ALL) sites. These sites allowed you to submit your link or ad, which slowly rotated off the page as new links were submitted. Once this method of advertising became known, scores of people rushed to FFA sites and began submitting their ads. Programmers invented ways to automate the process of submitting links to hundreds of sites within seconds, causing it to become an ineffective marketing option because of the scores of people who began using this system. Links would rotate off the page within seconds and this eventually led to the downfall and popularity of them.

Another marketing method, which quickly became useless, was banner advertising and exchanges.  People covered their sites with banners, learned how to cheat exchanges and surfers began to train their eyes to ignore them completely. As a result, image advertising also became ineffective.

Automated page creation was also a problem as thousands of people began to create gateway pages as a means to draw in the search engines with multiple pages stuffed with keywords to increase their site’s page rank. Gateway page generators automated the process of building these pages and soon they sprang up all over the net. Eventually this fad also became useless due to abuse as well as the introduction of smarter search engine spiders.

The latest moneymaking craze is Google Adwords. Once pay-per-click advertising grew in popularity, webmasters discovered how easy it was to earn income by stuffing their sites with useless content in order to profit from textual advertising.  The automation monster appeared again making it fairly easy to submit articles to hundreds of content sites by merely clicking a few buttons.

In steps PLR membership sites. PLR articles, also known as Private Label Rights articles or public domain articles, provide people who are too lazy to write their own content with a means to get links back to their site and hopefully sell some of their products in the process.

Search engines have begun penalizing web sites for duplicate content.  In response, new programs are being created which randomize paragraphs and change words within an article to make them unique enough to bypass the duplicate content filters. So now we have automated article creation?

Publishers are beginning to recognize the different methods of article abuse and it’s becoming more difficult to get articles approved. As editors begin tiring of trying to keep up with the massive influx of articles that are obviously written for the sole purpose of gaining link popularity or to advertise affiliate links, we will see more article directories shut down.

Is automation really the monster here? I think not!

Automated article submission is a great tool for submitting articles to a large number of sites providing it is used properly. So what’s the problem?

Greed and laziness – plain and simple.

Automation allows writers to submit their articles to many sites quickly and easily, freeing up more time to write original content. The problem comes from those who are always looking for a shortcut to making money, rather than to work for it.

Article marketing abuse will soon reach its peak just as FFA sites, banner advertising and gateway pages did. Eventually we will look at private label articles as another passing trend and online publishers will be able to provide their visitors with quality content once again.  For now, we can only wait until those hoping to get rich quick find another marketing option to automate and abuse.

Article Submission For Maximum Traffic

Submitting articles to the search engines is a time honored strategy for generating traffic.  It has been used since the early days of the Internet and is still an effective traffic generation strategy even in our Web 2.0 times.

There are a lot of questions over the best method of submitting articles for maximum traffic and effectiveness.  What are the best techniques and which are the most effective?

The first technique is to submit your article to the granddaddy of all article directories, EzineArticles.  This site has built a reputation of being the best article directory in town.  It is loved by marketers and by readers and most importantly, by Google.

It is a source of frustration to many marketers who find it hard to meet the submission guidelines or cope with the timescales for articles to be approved.

However, if you read their guidelines and stick to them, your articles will get through without a hitch.

Once they are in Ezinearticles you instantly receive benefits from it.  Articles in this directory tend to rank very well in Google, even without backlinks to them.

Add in a few backlinks and suddenly you find your articles are ranking in the top ten for moderately competitive keywords.  In fact, even without backlinks they can often rank well just because they are on Ezinearticles.

Once your article has been published you need to do some simple backlinking to it just to give it that extra boost in the search engines.

Firstly, take your Ezinearticle author RSS feed and submit it to RSS directories.  You can either use a tool or do it by hand.  If you are doing it by hand, just pick the top ten directories in a Google search and that will be good enough for now.  You can always submit to more later on, so make sure you keep track of which ones you have added your feed to.

You can also use one of the many ping sites to ping your article.  This does give Ezinearticles a lift, but it also gets your article noticed.

Finally, social bookmark your article.  Again, you can either use a tool or do it manually.  If your article is newsworthy and well written then you can look at adding it to sites such as Digg or Stumbleupon to get further links and traffic.

Of course, there are other article directories out there, but none of them carry the weight of Ezinearticles.  Google Knoll is a current contender and is very popular with marketers who are using it to submit their articles too.  So far though, these don't seem to be ranking as well as Ezinearticles, but it is a good way to get the Big G to notice your sites.

For the other article directories it is not worth submitting articles manually to them, except maybe the top half a dozen big directories.  Many of the rest get so little traffic it is not worthwhile, except for the backlink.  Therefore you should either outsource or automate these submissions to free up your time to concentrate on building your business.

If you are submitting articles then you need to make sure they are on Ezinearticles for maximum traffic.  Do some simple backlinking to your article and you will easily find your articles ranking well for their keywords and bringing you good traffic.

How often to write articles and where should I keep them?

On the one hand I don't want to have to submit more than one article a day, I use a posting utility but yet I still have to log in to each site and submit to each site. But on the other hand there are days when I come up with many different subjects, different ideas, that would make great articles. I have created a specific directory to keep these articles organized but there still is the problem of having to open an article and using the copy and paste function having to copy and paste the subject, the article body and then having to go through my article for the keywords.

I have a great solution that solves all of this. I am using a free utility where I can create articles on my desktop and with a click of a button that article will be automatically posted to my blog. Now when it comes time to submit another article I'll just submit one of these posts from my blog. If you want to ever know what utilities I use just email me and I will tell you. I used to include all of these in my articles, posts, but some of these article directories then think I am promoting these products and they don't approve my article.

I have learned this past week that writing and submitting articles is the fastest way to become known as an authority. I created several articles this past weekend and submitted them right away. This was on Saturday and by Tuesday of this week, when doing a search on my name, I saw my articles with the links back to my site. I have spent money on solo ads, created a Google adwords campaign, joined several traffic exchanges, posted on forums and when all is said and done the creating and submitting of articles so far has been the fastest. I still have not seen any sales but I expect that when end users read my stories that they will come to my site and follow the links I have there to my other sites. This, hopefully, will produce sales for me.

Another post I will be making today will be on using traffic exchanges and how to get the most from them. A famous book said that in order to see results in this world you have to be like A purple Cow, you need to stand out from everybody else. I consider myself to be a Purple cow. I do things differnetly than most people and I will always post what I learn and discover.

Another great benefit of writing and publishing articles is that I can use all the links as reference in a special section of my resume. I am always looking at new opportunities and if i want to gain some work writing content i can use these links as references.
